I'm a mother of three beautiful daughters ages 6 and 15, and one year old. My passion in birth started soon after I gave birth to my first daughter in 1995. I was a Doula for my friends first birth in 1996. Over the years I didn't know there was formal job description for a Birth Doula. In 2007 I started studying to become a Certified Birth Doula through CAPPA.

My journey as a Doula is rewarding, beautiful and heartfelt. With every birth comes a radiant smile on the mothers face that will never be forgot. I have been blessed to support moms in homebirths, birth center births, hospital births and VBAC births.

I support mothers in any birth vision they choose. I have had three totally different birth experiences and although you have a vision sometime things work out differently.

 With my older daughter I had 19 hours of wonderful :) labor pains. I gave birth vaginally and un-medicated.I was hooked up to pitocin and still was determined to have a un-medicated birth. It was an empowering birth.I had a beautiful healthy baby girl!

 I was thankful to have Doula with my 6 year old daughters birth. I had complications and my daughter was turned OP, meaning sunny side up. I chose to have an epidural. Even though I chose an epidural my birth was still beautiful and empowering.

It resulted in my beautiful baby girl.

Bellas birth was a home water birth. I had two hours of intense labor.

 It was a absolutely wonderful experience :)

With this said... I support women and their choices in birth. I believe if you are fully educated and informed on your choices than you make the right choices for your own birth.
